The FIS Ski World Cup in Italy

What a wonderful four days of celebration at Nissan Skipass in Modena, the Italian winter season opening event! The champions belonging to the FISI Italian teams have been the protagonists of these four days in Modena, but the Organizing Committees of the winter sports competitions have been given special attention as well.

This year, a group coordinated by the FIS Vice President Reinhard Schmalzl and involving all the organizers of the FIS Ski World Cup in Italy will work together. The team aims to enhance and optimize the organizational and promotional commitments.

The winter season is just around the corner … Soelden was the first event, and next weekend (November 10 and 11) the Ski World Cup will be in Finland with two slaloms. The following stop will be in North America and Europe, with seven races taking place in Italy.

Val Gardena and Alta Badia will be the first with a super-G and a downhill race on the Saslong (December 14 and 15) and a Giant slalom on the Gran Risa on December 16. On Tuesday, December 18 Madonna di Campiglio will host the famous slalom taking place in the charming Canalone Miramonti.
Lots of “Pure Adrenaline” will say goodbye to 2012 from the Stelvio in Bormio on December 29,  the day when the downhill racers will be the protagonists, once again. The girls will fight on the Olympia delle Tofane in Cortina (downhill and Super-G) on January 19 and 20.

These events taking place in our stunning mountains can’t be missed. These are events that must be experienced “live”, because the emotions of a race are unique only if “live”!
