It’s January. The great classics are back!

Lauberhorn

The Lauberhorn in Wengen and the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbuehel. These are the great classics of January, the races that bring back the emotions linked to high speed and downhill.

After the race on the Stelvio slope, which is pure adrenaline, the most exciting, brutal and tiring race of the White Circus, here we are with the longest, fastest and most ‘panoramic’ downhill of the circuit. The Stelvio is 3270 meters long, with a drop of 1010 meters, while the course inserted in the mountains of the Bernese Oberland is 4415 meters long, with a drop of 1028 meters and speed peaks of approximately 150 km/hr!The racers are going to face their fourth downhill experience of the season on Saturday and we’ll see the reactions of Cuche, the winner in Lake Louise, Miller, the winner in Beaver Creek and Defago, the winner in Bormio. Peter Fill and Hannes Reichelt have been doing very well during the training races, but the race is very open.

The “azzurri” are absolutely doing great things thanks to the foursome Fill, Innerhofer, Paris and Heel, all from from South Tyrol. Heel, in particular, seems to have a good feeling with the snow in Switzerland being the fastest, in a few tracts.
