Description of the Hike:
From the Alpe Vago (1.981 metres), follow the signs to Val die Campo/Passo Val Mera (route number 106). At the bottom of the valley, the path leads to the left and from here, after a short, steep ascent, to two beautiful small Alpine lakes. From this point, you reach after about 2,5 hours the Val Mera Pass at an altitude of 2.675 metres.
Now, from the Pass on, follow the path into the direction of the Rifugio Saoseo (1,5 hours), where you take a left, following the path up to the Lago (lake) Saoseo, at a level of 2.050 metres. Ongoing, you will pass the Lago Viola (2.160 m/1 hour). First, you will walk through woods and then face a rather steep ascent, while which you will pass two more Alpine lakes. Finally you will reach, now on a less steep path, the Viola Pass at a level of 2.432 metres (1 hour). After a short descent, you reach the Rifugio Viola (altitude 2.314 metres, 0,5 hours), where you could stay overnight.
On the next day, first you will walk downhill, along the path into the direction of Arnoga. Shortly after a forking, which leads, on the right, to the Val Cantone di Dosdè , you follow a path on the left, which is marked with white dots. Take this path uphill to the crest, and once you are up there, descend into the direction of Malga Funera ab (altitude 2.241m, 1,5 hours), which is, by the way, well visible from above. Following the path, you come to the Baita del Pastore (altitude 2.352 m, 0,5 hours) and then, ongoing, to the Valaccia Pass (the crossing is marked). Passing two beautiful Alpine lakes, you reach the Pass on a level of 2.614 metres after 2 hours. On the Pass, you beginn the long downhill to the Vallaccia-Valley, the finishing point of the route, which you reach after about 2 hours. (Trepalle-Vallacia at an altitude of 2.021 metres. )
