Description of the Hike:
Starting at the Rifugio Marinelli (2.813 m), the route leads up to the saddle of the Marinelli-Occidentale-Pass. From this point you hike on the Scerscen Superiore Glacier, along the foot of the Pizzo Zupò and the Crast'Aguzza. The ascent leads further north via the "direttissima" of the Piz Bernina up to a level of 3.350 metres. Ongoing, you walk over not too difficult and fully secured climbing paths until reaching the Rifugio De Marchi at 3.597 metres (3 hours wald from the Rifugio Marinelli). From here on, walking eastwards, you cross the Bellavista-Terrace, which is located in the upper part of the Morterasch-Glacier, underneath the peaks of Crest'Aguzza, Pizzo Zupò and Bellavista. Like this the Forcola Bellavista is reached (highest point on this tour on a level of 3.688 m). Walking on southbound, you reacht the plateau of Vadret Fellaria, which is being crossed, still to the south, untel the Sassi Rossi Pass (3.510 m), hiking between the Piz Vadret Fellaria on the left and the Piz Zupò on the right. Then you descend via the glacier Fellaria Occidentale, always staying on its right side to the Marinelli Pass (this part of the hike should be done in the morning due to danger of falling rocks).
