Planned and designed by the Swiss Architect Mario Verdier from St. Moritz, who had the original idea of the project of Golf cour "La Fornace", it has been imbeded the magnificent valley just outside Bormio. It was a major tentative, to stick to the original ground-characteristics, thus to consider the fields and meadows of the area, which extend towards the via wide terraces of the typical stonewalls. The result are great fairways, magnificent and protected greens as well as water obstacles, which serve at the same time to water the court. This golf court comes up to every golfer's expectation, offers a variety of szenarios, adequad levels of difficulity, which are a challenge for the experts and a great new discovery for any beginner. All together reasons to make Bormio's Golf Club to an excellent example for golfing in the mountains, and it finds itself within the best golf courts of its category in Italy. But also the wonderful view to the surrounding peaks, the idela climat, which is always mild and dry and the great maintenance of the golf court contribute to this fact. The Golf Club is opened daily from April through November and often hosts important golf tournaments. The practice court is open to everybody who wishes to get into the sport, supported and managed by golf pro's, who offer privat lessons as well as courses in groups and perfection courses. Furthermore, the Golf Club offers its guests a pro shop and equipment to rent.

Opening times

The court is opened every day from March 30th to November 2nd.
Til June, 30th and after September 1st: from 9.00 to 18.00 h.
From July 1st to August 31st: from 8.00 to 19.00 h.

Distribution of balls every day until 30 minues before closing time.
