Cancano Lakes

Itinerary: Bormio - Premadio - Pedenosso - Junction for Cancano - Cancano Lakes - Around the lakes - Solena - Boscopiano - Bormio.

Difficulty: easy

Description of the route: Leaving Bormio, you follow the SS (state road) 301 "Del Foscagno". Pass by the little village Premadio to reach Pedenosso, where the ascent to the Fraele Towers starts (see picture). Past the medieval Fraele Towers, you come to the little lake "Lago delle Scale" and ongoing, the basin of Cancano with its artificial lakes. Now you can bike around both lakes and follow on for the location Solena. From here, along a steep downhill, you reach Boscopiano and later the main road SS 38 "dello Stelvio". Following the SS 38 you reach Bormio.
